Title: HR's Role
Module: Effective Feedback
Throughout this section, I've mentioned your role as the HR professional in supporting management to give effective feedback. Let's recap and review a couple more recommendations.
Get out your coaching hat! You may need to help your managers step up their 'game'. As we discussed before, hold weekly or monthly "coaching" sessions with your leaders. Walking through and reviewing different scenarios can truly help improve your managers feedback skills. This'll be especially important for annual and bi-annual reviews.
Develop a recognition program. There are a number of systems out there that you can implement at your organization. Remember it must be fair and you must establish criteria for eligibility.
Provide your managers with a document outlining the steps on how to give effective feedback. Whether in an email or on a handout, make sure your managers have the process readily available.
Implement a system that will capture feedback. I'll talk more about this in the another section.
