You have undoubtedly heard or read about Emotional Intelligence somewhere in the past 5 - 10 years. Many articles, books, speakers, all focus on this quality known as “EI” that had its start back in 1990 at Yale University. In fact, for HR Pros, the topic has become more and more important for defining and developing leadership skills in the workplace.
But what is Emotional Intelligence, really? How do you know if you are emotionally intelligent and, better yet, how do we know if we’re creating and communicating the right expectations to build an emotionally intelligent workforce?

It’ll help answer these pressing questions for you and your organization. We’ll define EI and introduce the four-domain model that provides the basis for these skills. Attendees will even practice some day-to-day EI techniques.
