Business Fundamentals for HR Pros
Please note: This course is a recording from a live session.
The term business essentially refers to a series of individual actions which take place simultaneously in an effort to produce a product or service for a customer. Each of these actions must function efficiently as a whole to meet those customer expectations. Understanding how different departments work within a business entity, whether small, medium or large, for-profit or nonprofit is key to gaining credibility and becoming a member of the leadership team.
This course will review the basic underpinnings of real-world business. It’ll examine the major functional areas of a typical organization along with the relationships between them. From the management team to marketing to operations, it’s important for today’s HR professional to understand what these departments do, what the team members are thinking about and what outcomes may be achieved when it all comes together.
