Next, be timely! Don't wait!

Ensure the receiver understands and don't assume it.

Everyone needs to stay calm and listen. They shouldn't get emotional and that goes for both employee and supervisor.

Be prepared. Remember the feedback process to address the employee's behavior, provide your evidence, discuss the impact and identify next steps. Don't abandon the process.
