Performance management is becoming a very popular segment of Human Resource Information Systems. I'll highlight several important features for a performance management software solution that you should keep in mind.
First, going back to an earlier lecture, it must allow the employee and manager to review, edit and add goals throughout the year.
Second, it should have a strong reporting and analytics component to assist with business decisions and strategic planning.
Next, you should look for a system that has a method to create employee development goals.
Also, you'd want it to have a capability for collecting feedback from multiple people.
Fifth, the system should have automated email notifications and reminders.
And finally, the software must have a notes tool for both managers and employees which will enable them to have an ongoing dialogue.
