Diversity and Inclusion
In today’s workplace making diversity and inclusion a priority is more important than ever. This course is designed for you, the HR professional who wants to better understand why and what role it plays in your organization’s success. Implementing diversity and inclusion initiatives can be very impactful not only for the individual employee but for the entire organization. It is a necessary part of your culture for many reasons from the retention of top talent to avoiding legal problems to being an employer of choice. Learn about the evolution of these concepts, where D&I fits into the employment cycle along with the challenges to being successful. In addition, there are lessons explaining unconscious bias, best practices, and how to develop an inclusive work environment. My mission is to help HR professionals succeed and this course will enable you and your team to recognize how diversity combined with inclusion will support the success of your organization.

Module: Phase 2, 3, 4: Retention
This section focused on three phases of the employment cycle, develop, perform and reward. Just like in recruiting, the integration of diversity and inclusion is critical to achieving goals. I defined objectives for processes associated to each phase with sample metrics. I also reviewed unconscious bias and how it can impact anyone’s ability to properly assess, compensate and develop talent. I went over a list of best practices and touched upon the last phase of the employment cycle, transition.
