Module: Three Major Categories of Analytics
In this section, I went into much greater detail on each major category of analytics – descriptive, predictive and prescriptive. I walked through an overview showing how each one is connected and represented by levels. Level 1 being descriptive. Level 2 being predictive and Level 3 being prescriptive. I provided more in-depth definitions of descriptive and predictive analytics sharing a comparison of questions answered by both categories. Finally, I spent some time explaining prescriptive analytics to help round out your knowledge of this complex topic.
