As the world of work increasingly transitions from a functional one to a projectized one, HR professionals are being expected to understand and work on multiple project teams. This requires an understanding of the Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) and how HR activities may be planned and executed throughout each of the various stages of the cycle. You, the HR Leader, must know how to align your initiatives to those of an overall organizational project and plan HR-related projects so they align with an organization’s objectives.

In this previously recorded HR Community Event we focus on the what, why, and how of the project management life cycle. We start by providing an overview of what the Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) is. We also discuss insights into why HR should be aware of each stage. Finally, we review best practices on how to deliver HR services to better align with the PMLC.
